Equipment
Linkage
Stable frame
The Terrano FX has a very stable frame with 100x120mm (3 and 3.5 FX) or 120x120 mm longitudinal tubes (4 and 5 FX).
The longitudinal tubes envelop the 100x100 mm cross tubes so that they can be welded even more stable.
Depth adjustment
Is made without tools via spacer clips at the front at the push rods.
The cover of the spacer clips is standard equipment and prevents the clips from being lost.
Depth control by the packer
The forces are transferred from the packer to the frame via a push rod.
This roof-framework-like design guarantees high stability at a low dead weight and also transfers additional vertical load to the rear axle of the tractor.
4-bar frame design
Very intensive mixing as the moved soil stays in the machine for a very long time.
Excellent levelling as the soil stays in the machine for a long time and is taken along for quite a while.
Very large clearance due to a tine spacing of 112 cm in one row.
28 cm tine spacing
Almost the same tine spacing as the Terrano FX.
Low horsepower requirement for deep cultivation.
Excellent levelling for shallow cultivation.
Tool hitch
3-point linkage
Double lower link holding fixture for expansion size cat. II and III. Upper link and lower link bolt Ø cat. III.
Expansion size cat. II: 870 mm
Expansion size cat. III: 1,010 mm
Upper link bolt Ø cat. III: 31.7 mm
Lower link bolt Ø cat. III: 36.6 mm
Chassis
Chassis Terrano FX
Terrano 4 and 5 FX are available with 3-point-linkage as well as with chassis.
Drawbar and chassis are firmly integrated in the frame.
Tyres 400/60-15.3.
Support wheels 10.0/75-15.3
Optional Terrano 4 FX
Standard Terrano 6 FX
Are not intended for controlling the depth of the Terrano, but to prevent the machine from rocking on uneven soils or very changing soils.
Packer
SteelDisc packer Ø 58 cm
Approx. 175 kg/m. Heavy steel ring packer with excellent consolidation on heavy, dry soils.
Good cutting effect. Particularly suitable for stony soils.
Tyre packer Ø 65 cm
Approx. 145 kg/m. Tyres 185/65-15 AS. Particularly suitable for very light soils with low carrying capacity.
Due to the AS profile leaves a very good, erosion-reducing soil structure.
Not recommended on stony soils.
RollFlex packer Ø 54 cm
Approx. 115 kg/m. Excellent self-cleaning effect due to the vibrating leaf spring. Strip consolidation with high mixing effect.
Excellent levelling capacity which is supported additionally by intermediate springs.
RollCut packer Ø 60 cm
Approx. 130 kg/m. Knife roller with good cutting and consolidation effect on heavy loamy and clayey soils. The aggressivity of the knives can be adjusted.
Not recommended on stony soils.
Floatingly mounted packer segments
Both packer halves of the foldable Terrano FX are mounted floatingly.
Thus, they can adapt ideally to the surface contours allowing for an all-over even consolidation.
Cage drum roller Ø 54 cm
Approx. 60 kg/m. Depth control with medium consolidation and low structure forming on the surface.
Relatively prone to jammings in wet conditions and clayey sites.
Not available for Terrano 6 FX.
FarmFlex packer Ø 55 cm
Ø 55 cm - approx. 150 kg/m - Terrano 3, 3.5 and 4 FX
Ø 59 cm - approx. 170 kg/m - Terrano 5 and 6 FX
Rubber roller with excellent consolidation on medium soils. Leaves a wave-like profile.
Less cutting effect than the DoubleDisc packer, but more resistant to humidity.
Particularly suitable for stony soils.
Options
1-row rear harrow
The harrow combs out weed and grass weeds on the surface and supports their drying.
The harrow favours the seed coverage if the Terrano is equipped with a fine seed unit.
Recommended behind the tyre packer to level the ridges.
Drawbar linkage
Optional, only for Terrano 6 FX.
Due to the linkage below the rear axle of the tractor it guarantees a very favourable pull point and a high power transmission.
Requires 1 additional double-acting control device.
Optional with Scharmüller coupling Ø 80 mm.
Working depth adjustment at the front for drawbar linkage
Is made via spacer clips at the lifting cylindres of the drawbar.
