Equipment

Linkage

2-row tine arrangement (8 ST)

With a tine spacing of 32 cm. Without a harrow behind the seed tines it allows for a very short, compact design.
Thus, a very tight turning is possible despite the large working width of 8 m.

Tool hitch

Lower link linkage

Various lower link shafts are available.

First measurement corresponds to the expansion size - measured from ball centre to ball centre in mm.
Second measurement corresponds to the diametre of the lower link bolt in mm.

Cat. II/III = 870 mm / Ø 36.6 mm
Cat. III/III = 1,010 mm / Ø 36.6 mm
Cat. III/IV = 1,010 mm / Ø 50.8 mm

Chassis

Front support wheels 10.0/75-15.3

Favourable alternative to control the seed depth at the front of the Sprinter.
The Sprinter 6 ST requires 4 front support wheels for a sufficient depth control.

Seed hopper

Double hopper version

Pressurized hoppers - designed for spreading high amounts of fertilizer.
Air-tight filling and discharge openings.

Single hopper version

Depressurized seed hoppers with slider to empty the remaining quantity.
Large hopper capacity for high efficiency. Large feed opening for easy filling..

Storage box micro-granulate

The micro-granulate hopper is completely integrated into the seed hopper of the Sprinter.
The filling is made via the feed opening of the seed hopper.

General

Hydr. fan pto-drive

If the output of the hydraulic pump of the tractor is too low or if there is a danger of oil getting mixed if more tractors are used, pto-drive has to be preferred.
For pto-drive always 11 cm³ gear pump.

Hydr. fan drive axial piston pumps

5 cm³ oil motor for direct drive Sprinter 8 ST.
10 cm³ oil motor for direct drive Sprinter 3 ST PPF, 4 ST PPF and 6 ST PPF.
10 cm³ oil motor for direct drive Sprinter 8, 9 and 12 SW.
19 cm³ oil motor for direct drive Sprinter 12 SW PPF.

Hydr. fan pto-shaft drive

Recommended if the output of the hydraulic pump of the tractor is low.
Advantageous if different tractors are used. With the pto-shaft drive there will be no mixing of oil.

Agressivity adjustment

Via bolts the inclination and thus the aggressivity of each individual harrow row can be adjusted.

Depth stop
Via a parallelogram suspension the working depth of the harrow rows can be limited.

Hydr. fan drive gear pumps

6 cm³ oil motor for direct drive of Sprinter 3 ST, 4 ST and Sprinter 6 ST single hopper.

11 cm³ oil motor for all Sprinters with pto-shaft drive.

DiscSystem

MultiGrip tines

Robust tine specially design for tine seed drills.
Efficient stone protection for stony and heavy soils.
285 kg release force.
15 cm max. trip height.
Frame height 60 cm.

Components Duett coulter

1. Exchangeable coulter point
2. Fertilizer opening
3. Wedge-shaped ground plate
4. Plastic slide shield
5. Y-shaped seed distributor

Principle Duett coulter

1. Coulter point: Loosens below the seed horizon and removes harvest residues and stones from the seed rows.
2. Fertilizer depot: Is placed into the furrow behind the coulter point.
3. Ground plate: Covers the fertilizer slot. Consolidates the soil on 2 - 3 cm.
4. Y-shaped seed distributor: Seed placement in a double row on consolidated seed horizon with constant distance to the fertilizer depot. No direct seed-fertilizer contact possible.

Diagram seed placement

The wedge-shaped ground plate (1) clears the seed horizon .
The Y-shaped seed distributor (2) places the seed in a double band onto the seed horizon that has been consolidated by the ground plate.
The distance between seed and fertilizer depot (3) remains constant.

Band sowing/double row seed

The illustration shows the typical plant distribution sown with the Duett coulter.

The width of the seed bands is influenced by the speed and the flow behaviour of the soil.

Packer

Working principle tyre packer

Every tyre rolls over a seed band and guarantees direct contact and optimum germination conditions.

The ratio tyre spacing and tyre width guarantees high operational safety.

The AS-profile creates a very good, erosion-reducing surface structure.

PU tyre filling

Depending on the Sprinter version possible for chassis, tyre packer and/or intermediate axle packer.
Recommended if there are a lot of stones and in field conditions where even the tractor tyres might be damaged (e.g. thorns, etc.).

Additional weight per tyre:
185/65-15 AS:    approx. 22 kg
6.00-16 AS:    approx. 36 kg
7.50-16 AS:    approx. 42 kg

Tyre packer 7.50-16 AS

Sprinter 8 ST, 8 SW, 9 SW and 12 SW - Ø 78 cm.
Rigid packer with defined tyre size for a tine spacing of approx. 30 cm.
Sprinter 8 ST integrated brake possible (tyre packer = chassis).
Sprinter 8/9 SW: no integrated brake necessary as it is integrated in the chassis of the seed waggon.

Tandem packer 185/65-15 AS

Attention: No brake possible!
Sprinter 3 to 6 ST - Ø 65 cm.
The tandem linkage guarantees even soil adaption and weight distribution.
The tyres run in an offset pattern and guarantee high operational safety under wet conditions.

Tyre packer 6.00-16 AS with brake

Sprinter 3 to 6 ST - Ø 74 cm.

Rigid packer with defined tyre size for a tine spacing of 25 cm and integrated brake.

Intermediate axle packer with support wheels

Possible from Sprinter 6 ST on. If the tractor is equipped with wide-base or twin tyres, the intermediate axle packer and the support wheels can achieve an almost complete rolling over in front of the seed tines.

Tandem tyre packer 185/65-15 AS

Ø 65 cm. The tandem linkage guarantees an even soil adaption.
The tyres that run in an offset pattern guarantee high operational safety even in wet conditions. This system has proven itself over the years, but cannot be equipped with a brake.

Intermediate axle packer 7.50-16 AS / Ø 78 cm

Standard equipment 8 ST. Indispensable for this working width to distribute the weight of the central seed hopper
Has to be combined either with the support wheels or with the side packers to control the depth at the side wings.

Intermediate axle packer

Suitable for depth control of the seed coulters for working widths up to 4 m.
Guarantees levelling between the tractor tyres. Up to 4 m working width an almost complete rolling over the whole working width is possible.

Front packer

Sprinter 3 ST all-over front packer.

From Sprinter 4 ST on: combination of intermediate axle packer and side packer.

Optimum depth control of the seed coulters. Allows for an even levelling and preparation of the seedbed over the whole working width.

Seed planter

2-row harrow levelling: adjusted to the use behind a 3-row tine system

The front harrow row covers the last seed row with fine earth.
The rear harrow row is responsible for the finishing and optimises the levelling over the whole working width in front of the tyre packer.

Distribution towers

The distribution towers are attached on the outside in front of the seed hopper and are easily accessible. Depending on the version there are 1 or 2 distribution towers (2 with PPF system).
The seed tubes can be laid relatively short and steeply dropping towards the TurboDisc seed coulters, thus reducing the clogging tendency.

Micro-granular unit

Available for Sprinter 3 ST, 4 ST and 6 ST. Not possible with PPF system.
Allows for placing micro-granulates directly into the seed furrow (e.g. insecticides). The granulate is placed together with seed into the seed furrow.

Max. application quantity approx. 10 kg/ha

Functioning micro-granular unit

Its pneum. system is integrated into the pneum. system of the Sprinter. The micro-granulate is led into the seed current after the main metering unit and is - together with the seed - distributed to the seed coulters via the distribution tower.
It is operated via the terminal of the DrillManagers.

Disc levelling system

Standard for Sprinter 8 ST. The soil moved by the Duett coulter is kept in the row by the discs and the stepping effect is prevented.
In combination with the large tine spacing of 32 cm it guarantees a high operational safety.

Distribution tower Sprinter 8 ST

The distribution tower is compactly integrated in the seed hopper. Despite the large seed hopper the seed tubes can be laid relatively short and steeply dropping towards the seed tines, thus reducing the clogging tendency.

Options

1-bar rear harrow

The harrow levels the small ridges that are produced between the tyres (erosion protection).
The working aggressivity can be adjusted to the respective soil and seed conditions.

Pre-emergence marker

Necessary for cultures which require maintenance measures before the set tramlines are visible.

Hydr. filling auger

Output 400 kg/min. Possible for single and double hopper version.
For the double hopper version only one filling auger is possible to fill the rear hopper.

Mechanical half-width shut-off

Only Sprinter 6 ST - possible for seed and/or fertilizer distributor.
Is integrated into the cover of the distribution tower. The cover plate has to be turned manually to block the respective half of the machine.
The seed size has to be reduced manually by 50% at the terminal.

Drawbar linkage

The Sprinter 8 ST is lifted at the rear via the tyre packer and at the front via the hydr. drawbar to guarantee sufficient clearance height.
Optional: possible with Scharmüller coupling Ø 80 mm.
