General
Underpressure fan
One double-acting control device is necessary for the drive of the underpressure fan (direct drive for 5 cm³ axial piston pump - oil requirement 25 l/min).
The waste air of the underpressure fan is blown into the suction area of the fertilizer fan. Any pickling dust that might be contained in the waste air thus is blown into the soil via the fertilizer coulters.
Fertilizer fan
Direct drive:
5 cm³ axial piston pump, Oil requirement 20 l/min.
Pto-shaft drive: 5 cm³ axial piston pump
The hydr. coulter pressure adjustment is connected in series with the fan drive for fertilizer. Thus, there always is the necessary pre-tension resp. the required coulter pressure and the single grain units can adapt permanently to the surface contours.

Single grain metering unit
Smallest metering unit on the market.

With integrated electric drive. The electric drive unit combines motor, gear drive, bearing and job computer per row in a very compact, capsuled casing.
Extremely low power requirement per row (approx. 1 Ampere) allows for using a very compact electric motor.

Metering discs
A: First scraper to avoid double spots. If for example 2 grains are sucked in, one will be taken off.
9 positions to adapt perfectly to any grain size.
B: Second scraper to guide the grains from a circular to a longitudinal movement.
The grooves that open up to the outside together with the scraper guarantee a smooth transition from a circular to a linear movement.
Thus, the grain is continually placed in the fall tube in a linear way - without being influenced by centrifugal forces and regardless of the speed of the metering disc.
Gap ring in the vacuum area
Due to the small design the metering unit can do without a touching, rubbing seal in the vacuum area.
The seal area is equipped with a gap ring. Thus, it is wear-free and does not create any torque.
This design results in an extremely low power requirement per row.
Fall tube
The curve of the fall tube has been specially adapted to the trajectory of the seed at high speeds so that the seed can be be guided exactly into the seed furrow without irritation.
Due to the very solid singling unit - designed for high coulter pressures - the fall tube is relatively long (45 cm).
Grain sensor
Records the exact number and the exact distance of the grains.
The software of the machine has been designed in such a way that the driver can see the following information for every single row in the operation terminal:
Ratio of missing spots, Ratio of double spots, Variation coefficient, Nominal and actual seed size.
Thus, the singling quality can be controlled permanently.
The driver can react to various situations (e.g. seed quality or seedbed preparation) and use the machine to its full capacity by adjusting the speed in such a way that his individual requirements regarding placement precision are met.
Spring-loaded skimmers (Ø 38 cm)
Heavy double disc coulter with maintenance-free bearing. The cover plate and the scraper between the discs prevent cloggings.
Are mounted in a parallelogram with the seed discs. Thus, the placement depth of the fertilizer depot is also controlled by the depth control wheels of the seed coulters.
The set distance between fertilizer depot and seed is consistently kept up.
The skimmers can be adjusted in two steps:
3 cm deeper than the seed coulters.
Same level as the seed coulters.
As a standard the skimmers are spring-loaded and, thus, are protected against overload.
Depth control wheels (Ø 40 cm)
Control the seed depth and the placement depth of the fertilizer depot.
The depth can be adjusted via a hole pattern with locking pins from 1.5 to 9 cm.
The depth control wheels dispose of a swing equalizer for an exact soil adaption.
The scrapers are standard equipment.
Double disc coulter (Ø 38 cm)
Heavy double disc coulter with maintenance-free bearing - designed for high coulter pressures.
Forms an exact furrow into which the seed is placed.
On the outside the discs are cleaned via the depth control wheels and the scrapers - on the inside by a scraper.
Catching roller (25 cm)
Very flexible rubber roller which is placed directly behind the fall tube and runs in the seed furrow.
Required for single grain seed at very high speeds. Fixes the seed immediately after it has left the fall tube and prevents it from rolling or bouncing away.
Can be adjusted in 4 steps in proportion to the seed coulters.
Can be dismantled when it is not used.
Press wheels (Ø 30 cm)
The pressure on the seed rows can be adjusted in 4 steps from 8 to 55 kg.
The press wheels are arranged as a V to guarantee a safe closure of the seed furrow.
Due to the V-shape the seed is not only pressed vertically but also from both sides, thus having a positive effect on a quick emergence.
Hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment
Can be adjusted hydr. steplessly between 125 kg and 350 kg.
The adjustment is made via a control valve and is displayed at a manometre in bar. 1 bar corresponds to a coulter pressure of 1,25 kg.
The system is connected in series with the fan drive for fertilizer (Maestro CC) resp. seed/fertilizer (Maestro SW).
Thus, there is always the necessary pre-tension resp. the required coulter pressure and the single grain units can adapt permanently to the surface contours.
Options
Trash wheels/trash skids
Remove rough lumps and stones from the seed row.
Improve the soil adaption of the depth control wheels.
Allow for an exact fertilizer and seed placement on heavy or stony soils.
Parts for 25 km/h authorization
If the Maestro CC has to be authorized for 25 km/h on public roads, components like for example warning signs, 25 km/h sign, lighting and marker lights are necessary.
