Pronto KR

Perfect seeding combination with a rotary harrow

Pronto KR

Advantages of Pronto KR

  • Universal range of use after plough and for mulch sowing even on heaviest soils
  • Rotary harrow for perfect fine-soil production even in heavy soils
  • Turbo Disc seed coulter with uniformer for a  considerable clogging reduction and exact seed placement
  • Easy handling due to central adjustment of the seedbed-preparation unit and the packer-seed unit
  • Cracker packer steel roller for optimum levelling and consolidation of the seedbed
  • Uniform planting depth over the entire field due to predefined depth difference between packer system and coulter
  • PPF system for exact fertilizer-depot placement below the seed rows
  • 6 m working width
  • Power demand starting at 160 kW / 220 HP

Distinguishing Features of Pronto KR

  • Sowing unit and seed waggon are a coherent unit, thus the machine is very compact
  • Due to the fact that the seed waggon has no axle, much weight is transferred to the rear axle of the tractor. Thus, the Pronto KR can be pulled with low power requirement and little slippage
  • The coulter pressure adjustment guarantees an even emergence in changing conditions

Equipment

Linkage

2-point linkage

Lower link linkage points cat. III/III or cat. IV/IV. The front depth control is carried out via the lower links of the tractor.
Cat. III: expansion size: 1,010 mm
Cat. III lower link bolt Ø: 36.6 mm
Cat. IV expansion size: 1,224 mm
Cat. IV lower link bolt Ø: 50.8 mm

Chassis

Chassis

Arranged in the rear of the machine to keep the unity of seed hopper, rotary harrow and seed bar as compact as possible. Tyre size 550/45-22.5.

Seed hopper

Seed hopper 2,800 l

Very easily accessible for filling the seed hopper, for calibration and for discharging any remaining quantities. Shifted to the front for a high vertical load transfer to the tractor.

General

Hydr. fan pto-drive

If the output of the hydraulic pump of the tractor is too low or if there is a danger of oil getting mixed if more tractors are used, pto-drive has to be preferred.
For pto-drive always 11 cm³ gear pump.

DiscSystem

Rotary harrow

Very stable rotary harrow with tines in dragging position. 20 rotary segments for 6 m working width.

Switch-off couplings at each half of the rotary harrow are responsible for the overload protection.

Stable gear tank design

Via a change gear drive the rotary speed can be adjusted to the soil and operational conditions.

Rotary speeds for 1.000 rpm pto-shaft speed:
Standard    21/24 cogs: 234 or 306 rpm
Optional    19/26 cogs: 196 or 367 rpm
Optional    17/28 cogs: 162 or 441 rpm

Tine quick-change system

The tines are fixed in pairs with a retaining clip at the rotary support and secured with a cotter pin.
The tines can be changed without tools.

Floating rotary harrow segments

Each one of the two 3 m halves floats around a central bolt and can adapt to the contours.
Thus, working depth and power can be saved compared to a 6 m rotary harrow.

Levelling bar

Guarantees additional levelling and steadying of the soil in front of the packer.
Can be adjusted to the working depth of the rotary harrow in a perforated strip.

Working depth adjustment rotary harrow

Is made via two hole matrixes per rotary harrow half.

Packer

PU (Poly-Urethan) tyre filling

For chassis and intermediate axle packer.
Recommended on sites where the tyres could be damaged by stones, thorns etc.
Does not affect the millability and thus the self-cleaning effect of the tyre. Increases the weight per tyre by approx. 42 kg for tyre size 7.50-16 AS and by 22 kg for 185/65-15 AS.

Cracker packer Ø 54 cm

Ring spacing 12,5 cm. Steel packer roller, ideal for being used in a rotary harrow. Excellent consolidation and crumbling effect on intensively cultivated soils.
Very flexible use on heavy and very heavy soils due to adjustable intermediate knives. Resistant to cloggings under wet conditions.

FarmFlex packer Ø 55 cm

Ring spacing 12,5 cm. Rubber roller for medium soils.
The lower ring height compared to the Cracker packer and the resulting larger contact area are designed for an excellent consolidation and crumbling on medium soils.

Seed planter

TurboDisc seed coulter

Controlled by press wheels with a soil adjustment of +/- 7,5 cm. Adapts optimally to the soil contours.
Designed for exact seed placement at high speeds. Allows for a secure and even emergence due to a perfect embedding of the seed and an immediate seed-soil contact.

Maintenance-free rubber bearing
Overload protection and shock absorber which guarantees smooth running of the seed coulters even at very high speeds.

Uniformer and scraper

Uniformer: fixes the seed in the seed furrow and prevents it from being blown out by high air quantities.
Scraper: carbide-covered and self-adjusting. Keeps the space between the discs clean and prevents cloggings.

Press-wheel controlled seed harrow

Mounted at the „short“ TurboDisc seed coulters. The depth of each harrow element is individually controlled by the press wheel even in uneven soils. The harrow guarantees that the seed is covered even on heavy soils.

Press wheels 5 cm

Standard. Recommended on medium and heavy soils.
Equipped as standard with carbide-covered scrapers. Soil does not build up - the outer diametre of the wheels thus always stays the same, and the seed depth cannot change.

Mechanical coulter pressure adjustment

The pre-tension of the rubber elements is steplessly adjustable up to max. 120 kg per coulter via a crank.

Seed depth adjustment

The seed depth is adjusted with a 24-wrench via a cog wheel that runs in the cog strip. A bolt fixes the seed depth.

Seed bar mounted at the packer frame

Seed bar and packer frame form a unit and are mounted with a parallelogram at the rotary harrow.
If the working depth of the rotary harrow is changed, seed depth and coulter pressure are not affected.

Coulter pressure adjustment

Via the spindle the shaft where the TurboDisc coulters are mounted with a rubber bearing is twisted.
By twisting the shaft the pre-tension of the rubber elements changes and thus also the coulter pressure to 120 kg per coulter.

Distribution towers

The Pronto 6 KR has 2 distribution towers as a standard equipment:
Standard: resp. 20  exits/coulter (15 cm row spacing)
Optional: resp. 24 exits/coulter (12.5 cm row spacing)

48 TurboDisc seed coulters - optional

Row spacing 12.5 cm. The row spacing, thus, is identical to the ring spacings of Cracker or FarmFlex packer.
The TurboDisc seed coulters always sow into evenly consolidated soil. Moreover, the fine earth rate behind the packer rings in general is higher than between the rings.
Recommended in general - except if there are high amounts of organic material. 40 TurboDisc seed coulters - standard
Row spacing 15,0 cm. For mulch seed with a high rate of straw in the seed horizon the larger row spacing is favourable.
The clogging tendency of the seed bar decreases considerably - particularly at the relatively low operational speeds of the rotary harrow combination.

Seed coulter arrangement

The seed is placed into consolidated soil. Every seed coulter is arranged behind a packer ring (row spacing 15 cm). Thus, it is possible to place the seed in uniform conditions over the whole working width.
