HORSCH and LEEB founded HORSCH LEEB Application Systems GmbH, headed by Theodor Leeb as a managing director. A close cooperation between the companies existed for a long time. In the last 16 years many projects have been discussed, developed and implemented jointly.

Initially, HORSCH was busy with the construction of various prototype machines for the use in the agricultural industry. Since 2004, this development also took the direction of own crop protection technology initiated by Leeb. From now on an intensive cooperation of HORSCH and LEEB will take place - as a new international force in the crop protection area with the know-how of the two strong partners, who effectively pool together their experiences from different agricultural areas.

The existing distribution channels of Leeb in Germany, which have always been based mainly on the HORSCH distribution network, were significantly expanded with the help HORSCH international marketing and distribution networks. The Head of Sales in crop protection technology area is Rasso Schatz, who works under the leadership of the General Sales Manager – Mr. Horst Keller. Two R&D departments in the two companies – HORSCH and LEEB– are directed by Theodor Leeb for the puspose of cooperation in the field of the development of the new and innovative sprayer technology.

The manufacturing of plant protection technology is located in Landau (Bavaria) and currently has approximately 50 employees. This production site has enough potential for future growth for HORSCH LEEB Application Systems. Here such machines as Leeb GS 6000, Leeb GS 8000 and Leeb PT 270 are produced and tested on a test track that meets the strict requirements of  German Agricultural Society (DLG).
